Targeting ZERO impaired driving deaths
The Washington State Patrol, other Seattle area law enforcement agencies and the Washington Traffic Safety Commission kicked off their Target Zero Teams launch in Seattle. This is a combined, strategic effort that deploys law enforcement teams who are 100 percent dedicated to getting impaired drivers off Washington roadways. These teams are deployed to target times and places DUI crashes are most likely to occur. The state of Washington has a remarkable goal to reduce traffic deaths to zero by 2030 and they are ahead of their goal! These full-time DUI patrols of elite officers, dedicated prosecutors and community partners are saving lives, preventing injuries and saving millions of dollars for the state of Washington. Here's hoping other states follow Washington's great example. Drive safe, drive sober this 4th of July!
