To me the cost of the installation($100) and monthly($70 a month) fees is unreasonable and it just another extra fine put upon someone. What if the person that got a DWI was going to school fulltime and does not have a job. Is he supposed to drop out of school so that he can pay for this device. Getting a DWI is expense in itself and there needs to be a balance. So far my son had paid almost $9000 and that is not include the interlocking device($2260), probation fees ($1000), license fee ($1000 for 3 years) and increas in insurance.
